3. Run Fighters Anthology

Library Information

From John K. Peterson, creator of the JKPFA libs, comes Nuclear Forces, a custom library for Jane’s Fighters Anthology. Nuclear Forces has 70% commonality with JKPFA, lending to a high standard of realism and features.

The major change from JKPFA version 4.0 is the removal of most post-Cold War aircraft and weapons, allowing for a much larger number of 1950s-1980s weapons, with an emphasis on nuclear weaponry and delivery systems.

Bombers: B-26K Invader, B-29 Superfortress, B-36 Peacemaker, B-47 Stratojet, B-52D/G/H Stratofortresses, B-57 Intruder, B-58A Hustler, B-70A Valkyrie, B-1A Excalibur, B-1B Lancer, B-2A Spirit, EB-52 Megafortress, M-4 Bison, M-52 Bounder, Tu-16 Badger, Tu-95 Bear, Tu-22 Blinder, Tu-22M Backfire, Tu-160 Blackjack.

Fighters: F-84E Thunderjet, F-84F/G Thunderstreak, F-86 Sabre, F-100 Super Sabre, F-101 Voodoo, F-102 Delta Dagger, F-104A/G/S Starfighters, F-105 Thunderchief, F-106A/C Delta Darts, F-108 Rapier, F-111B/C/F Aardvarks, FB-111A Aardvarks, MiG-15 Fagot, MiG-17 Fresco, MiG-19 Farmer, MiG-21F/MF/bis Fishbeds, MiG-23G/BN Floggers, MiG-29 Fulcrum, MiG-31 Foxhound, Su-11 Fishpot, Su-17M1/M4 Fitters, Su-21 Flagon, Su-22 Fitter, Su-24MK Fencer, Tu-128 Fiddler, Yak-28P Firebar, etc.

Known bugs

1. The Kuznetsov aircraft carrier cannot have more than four aircraft loaded onto its deck when a mission is built in the Pro Mission Creator. If you attempt to load a fifth aircraft onto the deck, the game will crash.

2. In the select ordinance screen, the first two weapons under the Air to Ground section are objects with no icon and a weight of 300 lbs. If you load this onto a hardpoint, nothing will appear on that hardpoint when you enter the mission.

If you find more bugs or problems in this library, or you think you can help me solve these two bugs listed above, please e-mail me.

Custom Weapon/Fuel Loads

I tried to make this library's aircraft's weapon loads and fuel loads easy to edit using Varkpad or a standard text editor. For all aircraft that have radars, the first hardpoint that can have its store changed in FA is Hardpoint #3. Hardpoints that can have their stores changed in FA will be simultaneous in sequence.

Example (F-105G Wild Weasel):

Hardpoint #0: (1) VIS340.SEE First three hardpoints are required.

Hardpoint #1: (1) MIG21R.SEE

Hardpoint #2: (2) F104.ECM

Hardpoint #3: (1029) M61A1 Vulcan Cannon This is the first hardpoint you see in the Load Ordinance Screen in FA.

Hardpoint #4: (1) MK-82AIR 6-Pack MER

Hardpoint #5: (1) 600 USG Drop Tank

Hardpoint #6: (1) AGM-78B Standard

Hardpoint #7: (1) 370 USG Drop Tank

Hardpoint #8: (2) AGM-45B Shrike This is the last hardpoint you see in the Load Ordinance Screen in FA.

Hardpoint #9: EA6R.SEE After the end of FA loadable hardpoints, required hardpoints resume.

Hardpoint #10: SEAHAR.ECM

For all aircraft (including helicopters) that Do Not have radars, the hardpoints that you can see in FA start with Hardpoint #2. The hardpoints that can have the stores changed in FA will then be simultaneous in sequence.

Trouble Shooting

If the library file appears to have no affect on Fighters Anthology, you may have to update the .lib file's date. To do this, open the two lib files with a text editor (Windows Notepad or Wordpad), and use the SAVE AS option, but Do Not change the file's name (Example- File Save As Enter .You will be asked to write over the old file, say yes). Run Fighters Anthology again. If this procedure does not activate the lib, e-mail me.

Legal Information

This library is freeware, and can be distributed wherever you want it, as long as I am given full credit for it and the original Zip file is not edited. It was made using the Fighters Anthology Toolkit by Duosoft. Airbrush V0.1a and 0.8b by Sick Puppy Productions were also used for editing shapes and textures. The Mirage III, Mirage 5, Mirage 2000 series, and Yak-38 Forger shapes and paintjobs are based on shapes and paintjobs in Spike’s Planes Lib. This is an importable library, so you can load it into the Fighters Anthology Toolkit by Duosoft. If you use any aspect of this lib for another library or as a basis for part of another library, please ask me permission and give me credit. This library and its author are in no way affiliated with Jane's Combat Simulations, Electronic Arts, Duosoft, or Sick Puppy Productions.
