Welcome to my Ukraine 1997 for French Carrier Battlegroup Campaign set of fifty missions.
This campaign is a clone of the Ukrainian 97 campaign on US NAVY FIGHTERS/FIGHTERS Anthology.

The Major difference is that you will fly a "typical 1997 french carrier battlegroup", meaning that you will take of from a Clemenceau-class carrier (2/3rds the size of an U.S. carrier), flying modernised "vintage" aircraft, such as the Super Etendard and the F-8EN Crusader.

The F-8s have been systemathically preloaded with Jammers, 2 R550 Magic 2 missiles and 2 Super R530 missiles. Though navigation and electronic systems were upgrade, there was never any radar upgradings, since the french Navy expected to buy F-18s (wich historically didn't happen).

The french have always sustained pilot quality over all, even if they build some of the worlds most advanced weapons systems like the Leclerc MBT, the Rafale, the Mirage 2000 and their own AWACS/JSTARS systems (airborne since DC-8 times and Alizé). Nothwithstanding the Rafale will be available on some missions and on all missions, starting from mission #47.

With these old planes, the easy single player missions become challenging multiplayer missions, that will hopefully bring you lots of delicious hours of multiplayer flying.
