It's the LeDuc, the 02 version, I think the original had the pit up on top of the ramjet.

LOL, I knew it...

Only the French coul design such a bassackwards test aircraft as this...

1st aircraft solely powered by a ramjet. Needed to be air dropped off a mother plane to get the ramjet to ignite...

Yeah I don't think even the French had a word for how goofy this thing looked, but the pit is the coolest ever lol.

That is because the pit design was stolen from the Germans after WWII...

LeDuc was a pre-war design.

Not the cockpit... The nose maybe (doubt it though as the plexiglass technology didnt exist prewar), but the layout of the pit was taken from German jets
