Post subject:  SSL Certs and Your Website...

If you have a website you should think strongly about instituting SSL/https security to your site. Current browsers mark the site as unsafe or "Not secure" if you are not using https... I moved VNFAWING.com to an authorized SSL this weekend and it took little over an hour to secure it and to replace any insecure http: site links to https status. The cert and institution was handled by my ISP and it was free. Future Renewals of the cert are also free...

If you look at the address bar for this forum (Zephyr Net) right now you will see the "! Not Secure" notification by the address. That will be replaced by a padlock as the site will run fully encrypted when the SSL is instituted...

As a further update I have found it to be difficult to get the https encrypted images to display on forums such as this without that forum getting an upgrade so if you implement it on your website you will also have to implement a phpbb forum upgrade...
