Don't know how many folks on here are into DCS. It's one of the only modern combat flight sims I've been playing next to BMS. Alot's been going on in this sim since the old days of Lock On: Modern Air Combat. It's just been updated to DCS 2.5 with a major graphical overhaul that looks fantastic. Alot of new aircraft modules have been added and more to come that include the F/A-18C Lot 20 and F-14A and B. Also a new map for the Strait of Hormuz.

I've Flown DCS and the graphics are just amazing... The landscape and detail improvement for 2.5 is just spectacular.. The trees, mountains, rivers, and even the Dams have improved ... The shading of the landscape is also awesome... The waves in the ocean are just spectacular...

The one thing I really don't like about DCS is the flight model is just to stable... It doesn't mimic real world turbulence and it thus if feels like the terrain is moving and you are not...

FA Futures/FA-2 is Still Being Worked On and Will Be Released...

Heatblur is planning to release it's F-14B module this winter with the F-14A coming later. Can't wait for this module. If ED would expand its Caucasus map to include Crimea and Southern Ukraine, you could recreate quite a few missions from USNF.

Yeah. The super carrier is damn impressive. I look forward to seeing in it's completed form eventually. Eagle Dynamics just released an updated version of their A-10C.

I've played around with it and the HMC makes a world of difference as far as situational awareness.

Yes I have not purchased this module yet, still have the original A-10C. Sure is an eye candy loaded game. To bad its physics are so screwed up. Being able to shoot down incoming S300 SAMs with an AIM-9X kind of killed it for me, along with the various other non reality issues that keep popping up. Their model on the Phoenix needs a lot of work even after their last improvement. The missile had a SAR link for updating the missile at midcourse but they haven't gotten that yet as far as I know. At least they are working on finally finishing off the Hornet...
