I don't know, but they once said the Thunderbirds were in a combat mission over the loud speaker while they were performing. It was kinda hard to get the details cause an F-16 came in and buzzed the crowd while he was talking (loudest thing I've ever heard in my life).
I was at an airshow, and they mentioned the Thunderbirds had taken part in a combat mission before. I said that because it fit into the discussion.
