Ummm, Big, I do not understand what you are trying to convey in that mesage. I think you left out part of your thoughts in your hurry to post it..

Mind rephrasing it?

Ivan asked if the Blue Angels could ever take part in a combat mission.

The Navy says that they can have the Blue Angels F/A-18's combat ready in a number of hours, something like 48 or 72 hours. Does anyone know if this would include a paint job?

My reply-

I don't know, but they once said the Thunderbirds were in a combat mission over the loud speaker while they were performing. It was kinda hard to get the details cause an F-16 came in and buzzed the crowd while he was talking (loudest thing I've ever heard in my life).

I was at an airshow, and they mentioned the Thunderbirds had taken part in a combat mission before. I said that because it fit into the discussion.

Figure it out........

ahhh OK so you were talking about it from a historical perspective...

Yes the Thunderbirds have indeed gone to war... I believe they were all disbanded once and sent into combat, just to be reformed again after teh civilians complained about the lack of exciting airshows...

lol, finally!

And did any of you hear about that Thunderbird plane that crashed the other day? The pilot couldn't get the plane to pull up and it hit the ground. But the pilot ejected safely a split second before the crash.

I had heard it was engine failure and the F16 was close to stall speed when he ejected...

But at least he was OK!
