I doubt there was a crash. This looks like an extremely aggressive takeoff, provided the pilot immediately rolled left. Zephyr |

If we had a Vark driver here he could tell us if the flaps and slats are set to TO or landing |

Definately burner lit up, also definately in serious trouble... This F-111C bit the dust right after this picture. A heavy gusting crossing wind blew this F-111C into this angle and casued it to roll hard right despite all control inputs to the contraty. The aircraft was simply overwhelmed by the wind and blown into a pile of burning debris... |

I have that "Detail and Scale" F-111 book that I got that "El Dorado Canyon" mission info for you a while back. That has all the variants in it "Spark Vark" too. Dont recall alot of avionics stuff in there, if you ask specific questions I can sure check it for you. Of course I trust Joe Baugher on about anything LOL |

Cent , is this the model of Vark your looking for? http://www.f-111.net/images/Baby_Vark.jpg or you can go here and wade through, theres a LOT of stuff there http://www.f-111.net/index.htm probly would want to scroll down to the bottom and look for "F-111s Down Under" or something like that the main problem is that the F-111C is a kit bash of the A and FB-111 versions |
