Iran unveiled its twin-tailed F-5 on Wednesday. Calling it Saegheh (Thunder), Iran claims that its first locally manufactured fighter is similar to the American F-18, but more powerful.

Iran Corrects Claims Over New Fighter This Time It Is An F-5...

What is hell is going on with Iran? (raises my eyebrows) and I wonder what Iran is up to...

However, Iran have slammed an extra engine and fin to another aircraft where Iran (AGAIN) claimed that it looks like USN Hornet this time...

Iran on Wednesday had announced the development of a war plane named "Saegheh" (Thunder), which it described as similar to the American F-18 fighter jet.

Before I would say anything further about these aircraft, I would like to say one thing... WTF is thse women doing in aircraft when it is though that women were not allowed to do men jobs in middle east? Sometime middle east confuses me...

However, I will point you to aircraft that looks so strangely too familiar to these new twin engine with twin fins Iran have created.

See this is Russian Yak-130, and it looks more like trainer aircraft/light attack aircraft.

Geez, what next is IRAN going to do? Probably Su-24 with TWO TAILS, Tu-22 with TWO TAILS, or even.. (grasp) Su-27 with 4 tails?!

And I wonder if this would actually happens if Iran keep getting bit too carried away...

IRAN: LOOK! I got 2 tailed aircraft that looks alot of your F/A-18C/D but is better!
US: Wtf..? Hmm they look more like tweaked version of F-5E.. so STFU!
IRAN: OH I mean they look more like F-5! BUT HEY I GOT new jet thats looks like your F/A-18C/D this time andis far better!
US: Actually.... It looked like you copied russian's YAK-130 while adding an extra tail to these...? are you stupid or what?
IRAN (buys Su-27 from russian): HEY! I got a brand-new 4 tailed aircraft and they are better than any of russian Su-27!!! mwuahha!
RUSSIA: wtf?

Finally, I am ready to hear all of your thoughts on these Iran's new aircrafts... Let's start the dicussions shall we?

Eagle out...

First a few things. The Hornet is a direct decendant of the Northrup F-5 series.
They didnt say it was better than a Hornet, just "more powerfull" which it could be, in a thrust to weight comparison.

Whatever they call that final plane ( the one you compared to the Yak ) I am EXTREMELY interested in seeing it's high AOA capabilities, the wing is FAR more unique than you can see in those pics, a radical departure from western and Russian wing designs.
