One thing I do not understand is where the U.N. gets its vehicles, weapons & other military related items? I see AMIS (African Mission In Sudan) using 3x3 wheeled armoured vehicles much like that of the Cougar AVPG of the Canadian Armed Forces, I've also seen U.N. Panzertransports, M113As & all sorts of utility vehicles starting from HummVs to Ford Rangers. Does each country playing a role in that specific U.N. mission simply supply its own vehicles & weapons and just get a temporary U.N. paint scheme or is there a donation process from every country? I don't know how it works, can someone help?

and ya know what "hotshot," you're killing the purose of a forum, its for people interested in a topic to post QUESTIONS, inquiries, comments, etc... Id like to hear what people have to say who share my interests, so if you don't know the answer, you don't have to say anything.

That might be true but you've shown an amazing lack of ability to find out anything on your own.

so forums are not a place to find things out on my own? i should already know the answers, then ask the questions to the people who know. Gotcha!

idiot?? this all comes from someone who COULDN'T answer my question and now is defensive to the point where you have resorted to name calling. and i don't know about you guys, but when i want to know things that I am having a hard time with, I ask people who know for clarification... thats a smart thing. whats the harm in creating a conversation anyways, maybe others who also don't know would be educated by the response as well, you guys are making a big stink about NOTHING! how in the world would this bother anyone??? HAHA

get over your selves!

I didnt bother to answer your question because you are an idiot...

One day when you grow up you will realize you are indeed an idiot and do something about it instead of leaching off of others...

what is wrong with you? what is so hard for you to understand??? through out life when you leave your mom's basement, you will understand that asking people questions is not "leaching," you must be miserable pal. there is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with asking people about things you do not know or understand. in fact, i think people enjoy it, they call it conversation, i love to pass knowledge if ever requested of me. you can't share info? what do you want me to post up here?? things i already know?? im not sure whats wrong with you. what is the purpose in a military discussion board if you can't ask questions???????

you wasted so much energy pointlessly instead of simply letting someone answer and having a conversation about it?

I generally ask a question AFTER I have exhausted many pages of Googleness. Back when I was doing SAM and RADAR research it was nothing for me to dig into 50-100 pages of Google, notice I said PAGES not links, I found out LOTS of stuff others didnt know along with bunches of stuff that was not really even related.
But hey, why fix a flat tire yourself when you can just wait for someone to come by and fix it for you right?

hey buddy, for one, my reasearch and tracking skills might not be as sound as yours, secondly, i might not have time to go through thousands of pages, thirdly, i usually get my information on free time by glancing over magazines at Indigo or chapters, and i haven't found much on my topic so far either, so lay off pal, get a life and lighten up. lets say im a teacher and specialize in a field, i would love it for my students to engage me in questioning so i can share my knowledge, are you dense? is that tough to understand? you don't like sharing knowledge you've acquired??? thats so selfish and pointless to point that i can barely comprehend.
