According to the Chinese military, radar, high frequency deployed in the East China Sea are capable of detecting stealthy US aircraft F-22.
This ability of Chinese military equipment was demonstrated during an incident which took place on February 10 in the evening, when the Chinese air forces in the East China Sea have been put on alert due to the presence of suspicious flying object.
The Chinese newspaper Renmin Ribao relayed the information that the device would be detected an F-22 Raptor stealth fighter aircraft of the US Air Force.
According against Admiral of the Chinese Navy Yin Zhuo, stealth F-22 is not absolute and Chinese radars could detect.
Detection of US stealth fighters in this area has nothing improbable: several F-22 are stationed on the Japanese island of Okinawa, near an area of tension between Japan and China. Also on Wednesday, Washington has deployed four F-22 in South Korea on Osan Air Base near Seoul. The deployment, if it was done straight from Okinawa to Osan, went through Chinese airspace.
Nevertheless, the Chinese radars are not the only ones to detect, identify and intercept stealth aircraft. Russia also has a drone capable of detecting US combat aircraft with low radar signature, especially the Lockheed Martin F-22, F-35 and the Northrop Grumman B-2, using X band wave (Supra- high frequency) and UHF radar. Furthermore it is difficult for the F-22 to escape the Russian radar-aircraft missile complexes S-300 and S-400.
The versatile fighter F-22 Raptor, built by Boeing and Lockheed Martin companies, entered service in the US Air Force in 2005. The US Air Force has about 180 of these aircraft, equipped for stealth technology to make the machine difficult to detect.
The plane was used for the first time in 2014 during the anti-terrorist operation targeting the Islamic State group in Iraq and Syria.
