Actually latest I heard the design is supposed to be from Sukhoi and is a Su-47 Berkut fuselage with the forward swept wings replaced by Flanker style ones. That's a big plane, in some ways maybe bigger than the Flanker. It seems the Russians found out what we did about FSW- damage from excessive stress. The only chance for this might be if someone other than Russia funds development. Sukhoi actually has been getting some decent profits with the China and India deals so they may be able to scrape a little together and pay for it themselves. Zephyr |
