Question about the Su-34. Did it actually enter service and if so as the Su-32FN or the Su-34?

Nope didn't enter service but this is one that the Russians actually hope enters service in the next few years. We'll see if they find the money. They hope to replace their Su-24s with it. I think it would be Su-34 in service or maybe even Su-27IB, or knowing those Russians it could be something entirely new. I've heard that Su-32FN was just one of those Sukhoi airshow marketing ploys.

SU-34 NATO reporting name Fullback :D

So when it enters service, if it does, it'll be the Su-34 Fullback probably. Now here is the curiosity in the matter. From what I hear the Su-35 is in limited service, in only one or two squadrons IIRC. That's just the Su-35 Flanker. Wouldn't it be the Flanker-E because the Su-33 is the D and the Su-30 is the C and the Su-27 is the B. The A was the prototype. Now let's say fall of 2004, think they'd have the Su-34 in limited service?

Hmmm the Sukhoi-37 "terminator" that's the sickest of all Flankers no doubt about that.

The Su-37 is nothing more than an Su-35 with thrust vectoring. They stripped the hardpoints off it and if they were to go back on it'd be the same amount as the Su-35. The Su-47 Berkut now seems like a pretty wild plane. Doubt that it's anything they can afford but still nonetheless to make fun of :)

There are no new aircraft in RuAF service... You are deluding yourselves...

SU-32, not in service
SU-34, not in service
SU-35, not in service
SU-37, not in service
S-37 Berkut, not in service

the SU-37 is supposed to get regular flanker wings soon (no more forward sweep). And to me even odder is that my inventory says Russia only has 6 Mi-28 Havoc helos, and only 12 KA-50 Hokum, Alligator,Black Shark,Wolverine choppers!!!(jeeze does each one get a diff name LOL )

The low numbers of Hokums are probably correct, WH told me they had 2 squadrons of KA-50s (apparently only 6 each) and only 2 single KA-52 for demostration purposes.

I'm not even sure Mi-28 Havocs have been ordered. The 6 in your inventory may be part of an evaluation program. The Su-37 prototype has had its thrust vectoring nozzles removed and the Russians claim that with the weight savings and updated FBW software the now-Su-35 is capable of the same manuevability as when it had the TVC nozzles. And yes those listed aircraft are not in full service.

The Russians aint capable of putting massive amounts of aircraft into service due to the emonomic problems. Is it just me or has anyone noticed the the Russians havent exported anynew aircraft out ot anyone with the exceptions of Su-30 to India, Viet Nam and China, are there any other's I am not avare of?

Malaysia recently ordered Su-30MKMs to replace it's MiG-29s for air defence. The Sukhoi competed against the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and the Malaysians ranked them equal overall, with the Super Hornet better in ground attack. Which leads to speculation that they may purchase some of those to replace their current F/A-18Ds used for ground attack. The Su-30MKM is based on the Su-30MKI baseline, but with the Israeli avionics replaced by French ones (Malaysia is predominantly Muslim). Also Syria has a few Su-27s or Su-30Ks (the ones that are basically Su-27UBs).

What version(s) of the Su-30 does Russia actually use because I have the Su-30M in GR6?

There are many differnet versions of SU-30s, however the only ones the Russians use is the very first batch of the interceptor version. THe standard SU-30... It is a long ranged interceptor initially envisioned to replace the MiG-31...

I beleive they HAD only 8 or 12 aircraft, I do not know if they retained them for actual service, though I highly doubt it, I beleive Sukoi used them as SU-30MKI, MKK, and KN demonstrators..
