Hey guys does anybody know how many M1s were lost in Iraqi Freedom and under what circumstances.

There was one that sliped off the bank and fell into the river (heavy SOB) and then there was one that got hit by like a dozen RPGs in the same spot and the treads fuzed to the metal and they had to bomb it but only the first one I know of for sure. Does anybody have any details and pictures of each lost M1? I know none were to enemy anti-tank fire or any that were lost to enemy fire because knocking off a tread doesn't do anything but stop it for a while.

I would post over at ACIG, they had a detailed string on this plus links to other sites that were tracking Abrams losses...

Couldn't find the current conflicts one until I looked harder. See, it's under Air Wars so I thought that it was specifically for air combat. Posted.

I read your post there, and I see they gave you some links and the good advice to be wary of anything you see there....
