Kap,

Your AIM-120 AMRAAM in Kapset is pretty good. I like the way it does the plunging dive...

However I have a few recommendations to make, as I merged my AMRAAM with yours and used these alterations to enhance both into one to replace the AMRAAM in Futures with this new missile... But man you did a great job with that FM for the missile! Mucho better then what I had done...

Reccomended changes...

Change the powered maneuver degrees from 75 to 1 ... This enables the missile to fly a slightly flat trajectory for the first second before beginning the tip up to the parabolic course. The real slammer does this. The 75 you have in there now allows the missile to do an immediate climb from launcher, right through the launcher aircraft! I had this same problem with my missiles at first. I also slightly decreased the heights of the climb from 110 to 100 and from 100 to 80K feet, this allows the missile a slightly 'softer' nose over to the dive on the target and it doesnt look to be coming straight down but following a realeastic power curve...

Also decrease the burn time for the missile motor, from 22 to 8 or 12, as the real amraam burns out in a few seconds after launch.

Also you have the fuse set to check late(impact fuse) for explosion and it misses the traget alot and doesnt explode. If you change the box to check early and then increase the % of damage in the radius from 35% to 75% it will do a good job of simulating a promixity fuse and explode above the target engulfing it within the blast...

Plus you damage points are a tad low... Your AIM-120 isnt killing a fighter sized target with a single hit... only doing about 90% damage.. I upped the hit points on an aircraft target to 250 and it seems to kill very well now...

But like I said above you did a hell of a good job simulating the parabolic climb...

I will be testing your other weapons, but if they are all like this beauty then you will see some more requests to allow them to go into Futures to improve on what I have done...

CAG out...

your aircrafts hit points are different, plus range changes the amount of damage done

Well I am certain that is true, however I addressed much more then just the hit points...

If you would like to compare the changes I have made you will be able to see them in the next release of FA Futures, prior to the end of November... I am now shooting for release at the beginning of the Thanksgiving weekend so users can have several days to see and enjoy the improvements...

PS - Did you read how excellent your AIM-54C+ is? (I posted it in the VNFAWING EGroup... I know you already know this, but I just want you to know that your work is highly appreciated!)

I have changed the fuse setting to 400 so my RADAR missles explode above the target to sim the prox fuse, I left the radius and damage numbers alone. I also decreased the burn time and decrased the drag a little.
