We need a New York map. F the islands around the Pacific. You want to see a real CAP mission get me a New York map. I'll give you a run for your money on what I could create.

Cent,

Simulating NYC would be a nightmare on frame rates! Are you sure you want me to do this? I need sat photos of downtown to adapt them to tiles and I need a scale map of New York for the outlay. We can use the twin tower object to represent the towers before impact if you so choose(I can stretch the object shape to a much taller object to simulate their excessive height).

Please let me know and I will make this a priority right after I release the next version of Futures in the next 2 weeks.

I know you have wanted a NY map for quite a while so I will make you one!

Oh yeah definitely want this. Let me go see if I can find you SAT pics and stuff. They should have some on GS and what not. I'll get to it right away tonight and most certainly include the WTC :) lol....

OK then tonight I iwll begin on modifying those twin towers to simulate that height. The good thing about how the twin towers looked is that it was all vertical lines, so stretching the height of the shape should not adversly effect the way the building skin looks, so simulating the excessive height of the Twin Towers and having them look good should not be to difficult!

Regarding new maps, I'd like to see a full campaign based upon the Tom Clancy novel Debt of Honor. I think it would be great to see the Hawaiian Islands for "training missions" and then move westward towards the Marianas and Saipan, and eventually Japanese mainland. I'm pretty novice when it comes to editing FA, but I'd be willing to help in anyway possible.

Those would not be to difficult. Just alot of elevation changes and water/land sub tile placements and creation of lava type terrain mixed with jungle and beaches and farms... did I say not to difficult?? LOL!...

I can get you many maps for the period of WWII. Some are semi topo, most are force movement oriented. Let me know what will work for you best. I would like to help with some of the map making but have little experience with it.

I'll get a few maps together and send to by email.

Send me everything you have! Once I finish this last segment of FA Futures Korea 2000 I will have time for the NYC and a few other maps before I begin to ready the winter realse of Futures...
