As a matter of fact, I do. I've scoured and scoured, but have found NO information anywhere with regards to the questions I have. And, too, Ali's question doesn't have an answer on Zephyr's PT file explanation. So..... yeah. The original questions still stand. :)

Did you visit the forum archives themselves?

When editing the FMs did you use MPH or FPS?

That PT file has some new information. Thanks for posting. Someone once sent me an explanation of the system damage section but unfortunately I believe I have lost the data. Maybe I could look through my email archives. The gist of the work was that each line referred to a damageable system, and by changing the numbers of a system, it could be made more likely to be damaged. So a particular plane could be made especially susceptible to a certain type of damage.

That is some very important information if you could find it Zephyr...

It would help me with battle damaged aircraft that are rotated early baCK into battle due to aircraft losses in my FAF coop and multiuser missions...

I've been working my way through them slowly, there's a lot of material there (and a lot of threads with opaque names...)

Editing the FMs I used knots (I've used knots everywhere except for missile speeds, which I read somewhere are actually in km/h...).

I'm still very much unclear on whether the formula for calculating the Aerodynamic Drag value is known (if any such exists? I've noticed most if not all the default aircraft have a value of 256 assigned...). Thanks for the list - there's some things on there that weren't on the list I got from FARC.

IIRC the flight model tables in the Toolkit are in FPS.

1 foot per second = 0.592483801 knots

You can easily verify this, just see how fast an aircraft can actually go in game before you get a lift failure message on the HUD, and compare to the envelop maximum speed at that altitude.

For missiles, time how long a missile takes to fly 10 miles to a stationary target. V=D/T. But, be aware of the "performance at low level" modifier in the toolkit (on the Toolkit screen which has weapon exist and powered flight time). Perform the test with a missile that can achieve 100% performance at all altitudes. Also, make sure the projectile is set to be powered for the entire flight.

i always use MPH when editing FA, i find that the toolkit its self specifically needs MPH but wrongfully asks for speed in KNOTS.

i use mph for the following:
flight envelope
maximum structural speeds

i use kmh for missile info in velocity, i think its just more accurate that way.

IIRC PT FM editing is indeed in FPS not in KPH,MPH, or Knots...

I sure wish Kap would come by and see this!
