lol what the hell...sick of resorting? lol. that was really random. zephyr is right, your not paying for anything here. plus its really fun to create your own mod and zephyr's mod is realistic. i have been working on one for several years now, nothing of the sort like CAG's though.

Well, I'm sorry, but it frustrates me to no end when I get blown out of the sky by my own ordnance, and when only some campaigns in FAF Korea are playable and only up until you get your first medal and the only remedy is to learn to become a modder yourself! (for which I have neither the time or the inclination)

Did you ever think maybe the people making the mods don't have more time to spend on them? Or, even the inclination to devote more time to them?

Fighters Anthology is very easy to mod. I have to ask, why don't you have the inclination to mod it yourself?

Well, it does seem like it...

Because even as it is it's hard to decide whether to keep playing FA and its mods or move on to newer flight sims and their mods. There is a reason why this community is so small. I'm sorry, but there's no use sugar-coating it!

PS. I admit that maybe the "resorting to JKPFA" -comment was outta line and I apologize... You did do a good work on that despite the suicide munitions Zephyr!

Hairysteed,

Dont worry about FAF Korea 2003. That was simply a bandaid for FA. What we are working on today has nothing to do with it...

FAF Korea 2009/2010 is a whole new simulation...

1 thing that may make you feel better is that FAF Korea 2009/2010 includes all new campaigns on 6 different maps and all new single player missions. All of the default missions and campaigns have been removed from the libraries. So you will not have the frustrations you suffered with FAF Korea 2003...

However, I certainly dont understand your issue with me making SAMs more realeastic, it seems to me that you are complaining about other mods as not realeastic enough...

So which is it? What are you looking for?

And BTW the community is so small because the sim is so old... 13 years old to be exact... That is a long time to go without release or access to the virgin game code...

The issue is not realism, but playability and CTD:s

Well than, if you dont want to do your own modding, I guess you should fly default FA, or try other mods, or move on...

Sounds to me like you have issues with anything and everything being worked on, and yet dont want to try to do any work yourself, so I cant really help you..

And BTW all sims have CTD issues, from FA to Falcon 4, to Janes Super Hornet, to Open Falcon, to Free Falcon, to the Wings series...

Its the nature of the beast.

FA has particular problems when running large mod libraries as it has memory leaks from all the duplicate items. FAF Korea 2009/2010 removes all unused default items from the sim and has superior stability as a result...

This deserves it's own thread but "playability" in FA is off the scale, it's the only thing that keeps me coming back to this creaky old dawg of a sim. The kooky strangeness that sometimes crops up is part of the charm, the HUGE number of flyable planes in bone stock FA is what gets me goin and when I combine that with the easy "mod-ability" and perhaps HUNDREDS of flyable planes, and the ability to create almost ANYTHING in this sim, it's simply unmatchable let alone unbeatable.
See if you can find my old Kapsets ( I think 3 was the last one ) there are berjillions of new things in there including every ship and vehicle I could find or think up, every weapon I could fit in and every plane I ever wanted! If transferring my new flight dynamics for CAGs project wasn't such a hassle I would release an updated version ( which I will probobly do one day far in the future for my own enjoyment ).

Have you thought of this:
Making an AI "jammer" that uses those more effective expendables with invisible shapes for the flares and chaff and no sound effects for those expendables.

That means that the debriefing will list the "jammed" missiles as spoofed
