UPDATE: FA Futures NATO and FA Futures Korea Winter 2004, both projects are proceeding well...

Winter Korea looks to be finishing up for release before NATO, due to the fact all the sounds, aircraft PT files, Vehicle NT files, weapons and map MM and T2 files are direct carry overs from Korea SUmmer 2003...

THe changes relate to terrain and sky graphics, and to shape files and aircraft/vehicle/scenery skins to match the new terrains...

So far that project is about 80% complete...

NATO is tougher... the map is now about 70% complete (in summer configuration) and the aircraft and weapons are about 60% complete.

Major changes in weapons types from what you see in the Korea libraries... As it is based in the mid to late 80s the choices are going to be different, (NO AMRAAMS or AA-12s for example)...

No SU-35s, SU-39s, SU-34s, no Blk 40/50 F-16s... VERY limited BVR capabilities... mostly will be close range combat...

PAC-1 Patriot and NIKE Sams for NATO defensive belt.. SA-2/3/4s for Warsaw Pact, no SA-5s until you penetrate to the USSR itself (unless anyone has different information on if the Warsaw Pact countries had SA-5s in place at the end of the 80s?)

M-1s and M-1A1s in limited numbers... many T-72s,T-62s,T-55s... no Chinese tanks past cert T-59 models... MiG-21s,23s,25s,27s, and 29s in combat formations...

NATO is truning out to be alot of fun!

Could you possibly provide me with a list of airbases you'll be placing in the UK?

Once I have it complete I will be happy to... I have as yet not gotten to the point of determining the max number of airbases the map can handle without CTDs, so naturally there will be some compromises made, but I dont know where yet...
