Hi Guys, I just transferred the game to Win 2 K and it will not work if I have GR6 installed. Any tips, suggestions? Thanks, BobCat |

Hi Cent, Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I am using the red disk. I'm going to try it again tonight with the latest SP (4) installed. Maybe this will solve the problem. I'll let you know either way. By the way how can I register on the old board? I had to install a new drive (that's why I also went to 2K) and I need a new code for FATK. Everytime I try to register on the old board I get a 'forum does not exist or you typed the wrong URl" message. Thanks, and Happy New Year ![]() BobCat |

No need to... I think you can just post a reply without registering. And oh yes, I'm BACK!!!, nothing holds my interest like FA! ![]() |

Did it ever work? And by SP you mean Windows Service Pack I hope. Just make sure no other LIBs are in the directory at the time of playing and such. It works on W2K I tested it on it so if it's a problem it might be similar to those that I had with Cag's XP Futures but I doubt it, that problem was entirely different that anything GR6 could pose. |

Hi Cent, Sorry about the delay in replying - I"ve been reallllly busy. Yes I do mean Service Pack 4 for Win 2000. It's causing me a lot of headaches. Wants to conflict with some of the security programs I already have installed. This last pack seems to built tol et Microsoft snoop into your system, and see if you have any unlicensed software and music, whenever it wants to -and that automatic update setup reminder is a real PIA. I'm removing it and staying with SP-3 and update that to the latest fixes. Anyway - as far as FA goes I'd appreciate any help you can give me to get the puppy running again. Thanks, BobCat |

PS to above reply, I haven't had a chance to test GR6 on W2K SP3 yet - I'll let you know as soon as I do. Now I'm having a new problem with running GR6 on Win 98. The game crashes about 5 minutes into my custom missions. I'm getting a "DD helpcaused an invalid page fault" error - or something to that extent. Any suggestions? Thanks, BobCat |

Nope, I tend to steer clear of running FA on Win2K... I prefer 98 or XP Professional... Sorry! |
