Hello everyone, I've had FA for quite some time now and have had this problem ever since I got my new computer. I can install and play FA 1.00 on Win XP Home Edition just fine, but when I upgrade to 1.02 or FA Futures, I get an "Out Of Range" error on my monitor. Now, this is easily fixed by running it in 98 compatibility mode, but if I do that I can no longer use my Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital 3D game controller. Any thoughts on how to rectify this?

It must be a graphics issue. I remember some similar problem I used to have, but I dont remember how I fixed it, sorry.

I think you'll have to play around with your monitor frequency in your windows graphics setting.

THe only fix is to upgrade to XP Professional... It has to do with the DX graphics engine in home edition...

Well, that kind of sucks. Thanks for your help. Looks like I have to install 98 on my other hard drive now.

Edit: This sucks even more...My Windows 98 disc seems to have disappeared :P Oh well...looks like it's 1.00 for me.

I figured it out. What you have to do is run dxdiag and click on the "More Help" tab. Then you click on the "Override" button for DirectDraw and set it to 60. Works fine after that.
