Can this shape be edited? I need to make a Green one... I'm sure you've dove into this one CAG.

Regarding the one at Cent's SSR, I've noticed you have a "jungle" A-7 but I could only get it to work when I change the "_A2.pic" file in it to "_A7.pic" and of course then edit the ITEM.dat file to match. However this is all skinning and doesn't cover all of the shape. so I was saddened .

Anyone have an editable version or Green with white undercarriage A-7? This is for a Hellenic AF A-7 Corsair I've been working on for a FA pal.

The green A-7 shape is actually 1 I already have. I will clear it with the VNFAWING staff and if they dont see a problem I will release it to you as long as you release the skin, which you will likely do anyway...

BTW I have the Hellenic skin for the SLUF already, along with a new A-7 pit, but couldnt fit them into FA Futures due to size limits exceeded on number of files so I never used it...


I based mine on an improved version from real photos that I scanned in.

This is basically a simple edit of the original skin in FA. Now IIRC the list is now...

• F-14
• F-18C/D
• Harrier
• A "snow/greyscale" Flanker shape
• And the A-7 if it is cleared?

I think that's about it lol

I finished off the F-14 skin fully for you (And used it in futures, but since it si based partly on your original work I will release the entire skin to you)

Yes an NDA is a non disclosure agreement. Which you wouyld have to sign to be considered for membership in the VNFAWING Dev Group...

Now that you're not AS busy CAG you think I could get the A-7 shape lol Also if you have an "all grey" shape for the Su-35 Forest that'd be perfect because I have the nicest skin ever in progress for a Greyscale/Snow Sukhoi-33.

heh alright CAG, I thought there was a Forest Super Flanker snow shape that was open, if there is? thats what I need... as for the not busy thing I was being sarcastic, hence why i wrote as like "AS" lol the website isn't even complete. Sall gravy though, if the rest VNFAWING can still find use for me that'd be convenient cuz this Flanker skin is something you'd wanna showcase in your developments. However they shut down Jimbo last time, I love them too

Anyway until I do have a grey shape for this bird, it looks like a very nice snow flanker only problem is it still has paint primer left on a few areas heh.

The only Flanker that is available for 3rd party use and that has been released to the public is the all grey SU35.SH which we did not need at FA Futures, as it uses the undetailed overlay square block of cammo. The detailed skin from the SU35B shape is not usable on this shape file...

Cent you have it...
Sebastian Bott's "Su-35 in snow camo" it's useless in my case due to the skins patterned effect, I wish I knew how the skins were linked to the shape files so I could use the editable Su-35 shape with the much more detailed Su-35B Texture.

Dont we all... unfortunately the shapes are wed to the skin files at the time of their inception within a DXF studio program... To try and read the actual binary codes within the shape files in a hex editor to alter this is damn near impossible unless we find someone specializing in this...

Jimbo, do you have a screenshot of your current SU-35 skin? I would like to see how it compares to mine in FA Futures...

Jimbo, on the A-7 skin... what shade of green are you looking for? I think I might have something for you there...

Its a longshot but I think I may have a way to recolor a shape in a 32bit hex editor manually. I can try it out but I need to see what shades you want to match.
