I'm using WinXP Home Edition, I installed FA, patched it to 1.02, then installed the FANOCD .exe... then I started it up, and shortly after got booted out without even seeing the startup screen "Could not set video mode 2".... can anyone give me a hand here?

-Thanks!

Could be a refresh rate problem. You could try playing around with your refresh rate in the windows video settings.

Have you tried compatibility mode?

Does compat mode even work because for me it doesn't. When I try to do it it errors out but otherwise it works fine just as is.

Thanks Tank, it worked beautifully! I didn't even know what compat mode was until I asked my school's computer teacher where to find it...

You're welcome. FA is really weird in this respect. Depending on my XP installation I sometimes have to use compatibility mode and sometimes I must not use it.

Hm it's probably like Futures. it works on Cag's XP test machine but put it in mine or anyone else and it craps a brick! XP is finicky but oh so great!
