Here is a nice tidbit... the FTP server at EA for janes games is still active...

ALL the patches are there for all the janes Series of sims...

Get em while you can!

(PS - a possbile goldmine has been found there... the patch that converted LB Gold to Glide graphics... It may be possible to crack open this patch and use what we learn to move default FA to Glide. Now that would really make FA-2 Stage 1 special!)

LOL!!! Figures! But we already have the FA patches anyway...

The thing that really interests me is the VGA to Glide conversion contained within the LB Gold patch...

Does anyone here own a full copy of LB Gold?

Please let me know...

I backtracked from the original url posted and found this...

then
ftp://ftp.ea.com/pub/janes/cleanup/
which had this message
Cleanup on 09/20/02, old files moved to /pub/archive for removal

So i went there and found all kinds of junk
ftp://ftp.ea.com/pub/archive/

Has all kinds of folders going all over the place to different movie files and exe files etc. Majority of it isn't FA related but who knows what you may find.

If you wanted you could even go back as far as
ftp://ftp.ea.com/pub/
