After shape editing it dawned on me why the landing gear is one dimensional skin files only instead of 3 dimensional...
The polygons can not get small enough to make detailed legs or to make 'round' wheels...
THough I can massively improve the dteailing by compressing the gear skin by doubling or tripling it in size(like I did the missile skins), I still can not make it 3 dimensional...
I guess this is a limit of the FA grapphics engine and shape file format...
However I do indeed have some GOOD NEWS...
I can alter the size and position of the contrails on the shapes now...
SO the F-16s will have realeastic placement of contrails now off the front of the blended body instead of at the wngtips...
Next I will try to make the large puffy could effect put out be the F/A-18s over the cneter of the fuselage when maneuvering at high speeds in moist air...
I will keep you all updated on this new find also...
