I had an idea this afternoon for making tanks look a little more realistic. I know it's a long shot, but is it possible to add smoke trails behind tanks? I was thinking about that transparent smoke trail to simulate desert sand being kicked up and pushed behind the tank.

Just an idea, but would it even work?

you could give the tank a secondary weapon with the transparant smoke and continuous firing and give the weapon no damage points, might be interesting.

That does bring up an interesting problem, if I can change the start size of the smoke trail to something that is not too apparent then the effect would still work I think. I don't have a copy of FATK installed at the moment so this is all just what I think is possible, correct me if I'm wrong.

I'll try and see what it looks like, I've been thinking of something simliar for the B52, because if you've seen pictures of those things taking off, they're kinda smoky.

Keep one thing in mind though, dropping too many countermeasures can CTD a mission, especially a multiplayer mission.

The same thing will probably happen in a big mission whe you have lots of smoke.

Sorry about that. Is this one better?

I know this is a little off topic, but has anyone ever managed to get Airbrush .8 to work? I'm getting General Protection Faults on both of my computers, a DOS laptop (What ever one came with 98.), and a Windows XP system. If Airbrush won't work, how can I manually change the color of a polygon? I've got two ugly fins on the f16 which need to be dark blue.

Sayonara.

Radical,

Have you tried FA Futures(FAF) ? I am guessing that you want to make a blue F-16 to model the Japanese F-2...

I have a F-2 in FAF Korea, with an appropiate skin along with it. I am going to do some detail editing on it to expand the wingspan and make some other changes that are particular to the F-2 vs F-16s...

CAG out...

Well you hit the nail on the head there. At one time or another I wanted to make an F-2 model but I scrapped that due to frustration (It's amazing how a little understanding of how things work helps) I've had a little back burner project that I started last week that covers the JASDF and JMSDF aircraft (textures and weapons included). I've got a SH-3 texture that I need to finish eventually, I also need to clean it up a bit too. I'm thinking about making a set of maps for Japan eventually

And I haven't tried FAF yet
