Here are some screens of the new F/A-8C shape, MiG-31B Shape, the AA-9 Amos, CBU-87/B CEM, and MK-20 Rockeye II, plus some shots of altered shadow shapes for the new jets...

First the new F/A-18...

I was able to fix the cockpit canopy, lengthen the main wings, decrease the size of the horizontal tail planes, alter the skin placement on the inside panels of the vertical tail planes so they dont mirror the outside panels, and redesigned the nose to allow it to be skinned completely...

Now the MiG-31B, which I created from altering the MiG-25 shape...

I was able to shorten and round the nose, lengthen the rear fuselage, add skins to the rear fuselage on the upper surface and alter the wings, by reducing their width and lengthening them...

And the New AA-9 AMos missile for the MiG-31B...

The new CBU-87/C CEM...

And the new MK-20 Rockeye II...

And finally new matching shadows for the U-2S and the F-16XL...

Impressive. I like the MiG-31 a lot. In fact the most out of all of these here.

I agree, great stuff.

Im wondering about one thing though: Why do the wingtips of the F16-XL look different? Does that have to do with lighting?

I agree with Centurian completely, I liked MiG-31's new shape the best besides F-16XL!

:)

Yea Tank it has to do with the way the polygons reflect the shading effects, that area has a different shading number. It can be altered, but when maneuvering it seems to make it stand out even more...

Still, I think its no biggie, considering we have a new kickass attack aircraft (once we convince Kap to build us a relaible FM, that is!)

And out of the two new aircraft I also prefer the MiG-31B Foxhound, though out of all the new birds I prefer the F-16XL the most...

When flying in mission, I'd use F-16XL and MiG-31 for different role. If I am engaged into hard, ferious dogfight (My favorite part), I'd rather to use F-16XL. At the other hand, when interpecting enemy aircrafts, I'd use MiG-31 or going face to face enemy at extremely high speed and atitude while doing 'zoom and boom' tactics similar to when F-4 'Phamton" went against MIG-17 and 21s in vietnam war.

The MiG-31 is only stressed for up to 5Gs, even in /zoom and boom/ it would get its ass kicked... The F-4 has a much superior maneuvering envelope then the Foxhound, but for pure interceptor work its extrememly effective, especially with its datalink and advanced radar...

The MiG-31M would have been even deadlier...

Its ARH R-37 Missile would have been a true competitor to the AIM-54...
