Ok here is the problem. I am trying to change the Iraq map a bit. Trying to add runways and such using the toolkit. But how can i do that? I have been also trting to rename objects on the map. Overall, HOW CAN I EDIT A MAP in FA? Also whenever i change the friendly and enemy sides in FA i can't take off from the runway using Auto Pilot. When i press A the airplane turns around and goes somewhere off the airport on LAND! any one knows why? I would Apreciate ur Answers |

Basically, is what you want to do is this. It is what I do. Go into the .MM file by editing the map in the toolkit and then subsequently open the .MM file with a text editor (Textpad is the best). Remove ALL .NT and .OT objects, thus giving your map a completely blank slate. Go into the pro mission creator, load up your map, and build from scratch as a normal mission. Then just transplant the items into the .MM file (omitting the .PT file you'll need to have in there to save the mission). Then make sure all items are named as alias -10x (so basically -101, -102, -103, etc. for alias -1, -2, -3, etc.). Also the following flags are important: flags $4003: Normal settings flags $201: Ignore & do not destroy (IIRC on the do not destroy) flags $201 is helpful in a city so when you say to the aircraft to bomb all structures they don't start attacking skyscrapers and such. |

as aliases I would start with highter numbers than -100 I'd use something upwards of -10000 so you have got ample space for objects in missions. |

So what changes are you trying to make? Any new desert terrain tiles? I have 4 sets that I am attempting to practice with, some which represent sand dunes, some for desert mountians and dry river beds, some for where the desert starts to turn back into grasslands for the transition to grass terrain... CAG out... |

What about mountainous, foresty tiles...like ya know Chechnya? Lots of babes should be coming my way from Texas. LOL!!! Still having file sending troubles? Perhaps we'll have to arrange something via ICQ? |

Did you not receive it? I can upload it to either the EGroup or to VNFAWING.com and give you a URL... Which do you prefer? |
