does anybody have a JT hack for this rather than starting wit a CBU and modding it for those expanding rod warheads?

ok, I went ahead and used a CBU as the base for the missle test. NO cluster type effect was observed at any time against an aircraft, but a miss would produce the CBU effect once the missle eventually hit the ground. I suspected that it would only work horizontaly anyway. I then built it as a top attack (like AIM-54) to test out my theory that it would only work in the horizontal, but again NO CBU type affect ever appeared until the missle hit the ground.

Indeed. So if continuous rod is like a cluster bomb for the air what exactly is a blast fragementation warhead? Would that be like an explosive warhead with a bunch of tungesten pellets or something? Also the Brimstone and newest Hellfires have Hyper-Velocity Slugs...Is it like a slug fires, penetrates and a second follows and blows up? Wouldn't that be the same as HEAT?

I wouldn't wanna go against many warheads lol...buzz saw is a nice way to sum it up...What was that warhead on the SAM in Behind Enemy Lines? That was pretty cool how it tore apart the F/A-18F.

Post subject:  How to better simulate a continuous rod warhead A2A missile.

Continuous rod warheads, like in the Sparrow and the Sidewinder, plus the AA-10, AA-8, and AA-11...

Is to use the same explosion type as you do for CBUs to simulate a circular pattern around the missile. THis pattern when ignited should resembe the CBU blast we currently do, or another words a circular pattern of smaller explosions around the missile hit area...

A continuous rod warhead causes a circular pattern blast around the daimeter of the missile to a mx lethal radius for newr miss kills.

it was going to be a comparative table of all relevant fighters( and eventually a bomber and attack page/table etc) comparing G rates, weights, turn radi, speeds, alts, warloads range etc. A LIB builders dream page, basically one stop datum shopping LOL. Oh well, maybee AFTER I have myself cloned for the scut work, so I can get some free time :lol:
