Hey guys, i used to play FA on my win 95 and 98 machine with my microsoft sidewinder pro, well i put the cd in my newer XP computer and it says something about the comps resources or computer config that it wont install, i goto microsofts website, the drivers are only for 95 and 98, anyway around this?? how can this be though???

Hmm I have the 3D Pro and it went right into my PC. I didn't need the disk or anything, Windows auto-detected what it was and walla! Try doing all the Windows Updates first and then hooking it up.

I remember hearing that Microsoft wasn't going to support some of their older joysticks in WinXP. I don't know if this applies to yours:
