If that is the case, in order for FA to run properly, you need to haev NTFS. USAF will install on XP regardless of file system but it'll never work right. |

You can play FA on FAT32 but it'll be very unstable (without LIBs) and highly unstable (with LIBs). I have yet to make USAF work though. Over at SIMHQ.org they are convinced it works and people claim they get it to work but I think they are lying because I honestly tried everything they have done and I have 10x better systems that some of those giving the ideas so... |

USAF was made using (I think) Javascript menus, and the Javascript version they used is incompatible with WinXP. So there are user made patches which allow you to fly some missions and change settings, but because of menu problems you can't fly certain missions in the game. At least when I tried it. Zephyr |

Zephyr Yeah the menu's just refuse to work and the game is so jittery it isn't funny. |

I went from Win98 to XP and got FA to fly. I noticed that some of the older libs Varks 2.1 and Kapset 2.0 will not work. Try the compatiblity setting on XP and see if that helps. A good game that will fly good on your computer would be USNF97. When I was trying to get my FA up, I went back and installed USNF97 and rediscovered it. 97 is part of FA. Good Luck |

That compatibility setting, I have found, never works. If it won't work on straight XP then don't mess with the compatibility thing. |
