Have you installed the drivers or program files for the joystick? I have a USB Logitech joystick and it works with FA, in Windows XP however. Logitech.com should have downloads or profile programs for the stick you have. Zephyr |

I am wondering if the stick is working on any other applications ? And if it is showing up as the working gaming device ? And if so if you can calibrate it. It is very unusual that a Joystick does not function at all with FA. I would also recommend that you verify which USB version device you are trying to plug into what version of USB port. If I am not mistaken there are a couple types of USB ports. On my 98' machine that came with one of the first USB ports my old Microsoft sidewinder just plugs in and goes (it's an USB). But on my newest laptop it is not compatible, it will not show up as a working device even though when plugged in windows makes the recognition sound like a new device has been introduced. It does however manipulate the X and Y axis in some games, but I can not calibrate it or set the buttons. I admit I have not taken the time to seek out the latest drivers and was just trying it out useing the origional software on the old CD just to see what it would do. Since that particular laptop will not be used for gaming. |
