I remember this guy named "Warship" did all kind of FC mods. It was really good stuff, but a bit glitchy at times. Really made the sim a lot more realistic - it might be worth your time to check it out. I don't have a link right now, but I'll look for one for you. All the links I can find so far relating to the Warship Database Project are dead now.
