I vote for the flaps, but you know I fly FA with the default missions and older libs. I am use to the flaps. It may not be possible to make everything in FA realistic to FAF standards. You have done a GREAT job with all the other things in FAF!!! Keep up the good work.

For me, nose pod.

Other options:
Is there a speed brake on that shape? If so it is gauranteed to be in the wrong place. IF it has one will you/have you moved it to it's proper location or can you use it for the pod? Same question regarding the rudder, I wouldent miss a moving rudder myself.
The nose is THE identifier on Navy vs AF Phantoms especially after they all went gray. Would also let you do a proper recce nose for USMC versions.

I would go with flaps, i think flaps make it a lot more realistic.

The ONE good thing about having flaps is you can tell when someone else is cheating in multiplayer lol
If you will have the more tapered nose on the E,F,and G and recce versions, then keeping the flaps would be ok, but I still prefer the chin pods on the C and D.

Wow

Been a long time since I have actually seen anyone doing anythiing with FA! Very nice guys, glad to see this game is not entirely dead!

I would vote for flaps, you can always add a pods to the wings if you need them. Take the areodynamics and more control on the aircraft! Keep in mind that once you have used the pods munitions, then your are down to ACM!
