In the FATK, I would like to change the standard Gear Up and Down sounds, some of the radar warning sounds and so forth, what must I do? I've tried simply importing files with the same name, for example &GEARUP.WAV, I will simply record a .wav file and call it that exactly, but as mentioned, still nothing? Any hinters from anyone... |

Sound files are trickey in FA partly because they come in two versions 5K and 11K and they arent .wav files in the Tool Kit, you have to use the kit to convert them. Been too long since I have done it to be more specific than that. |

As Kaptor says, make sure your sound file is in the exact format of the default file you want to replace. i.e. 5k 8 bit etc., I forget the details. Covert it using the sound importer in the Toolkit, and make sure you import it as the exact same type (voice, effect, etc.) with the same filename. Zephyr |
