Post subject: | neat ideas for lib makers |
Im a fan of airborne intelligence aircraft and thought it would cool to see someone add a E-4B AACP along with a E-10A MC2A (Multi-sensor Command and Control Aircraft) or even a YAL-1A Airbone Laser, I know those would be some difficult aircraft to make, but I thought they would be really cool in a new lib if anyone could make them really nice. I also heard about a new aircraft that is going to re-place all the P-3 Orions, I think its called a P-8A or something, now that would cool... just some ideas for capeable lib makers |

I did the ABL for Kapset03, but in the game the others are really just name changes, they really wouldent do anything different than AWACS and JSTARS. |

yea I figured that much, but I was thinking maybe one of the FA genuises behind FAF & FA-2 could change the Shft-5 or Shift-0 Radar Screens into a new intelligence type display so it can do air-air and air-ground at the same time or something? Probably way harder than it sounds... |

Cant be done without the sourcecode, and Kaptor IS ' one of the FA genuises behind FAF & FA-2'... And all your ideas have already been incorporated into dozens and dozens of libs... When will you newbies realize, lib making has been going on for a full decade now, there are not many, if any, 'new ideas' out there that have not already been tried... CAG out... |

I'm not a lib maker. I never claimed to be. Nor do i want to be. I admire those who can do it. I can't. However, while I agree that probably everything has been tried or done in the last ten years, I don't believe that others shouldn't give it a shot. While the odds are definitely against these guys for implementing their ideas, doesn't mean they shouldn't give it a shot. No need to shoot them down. Let them try, let them fail. Even failure's a learning experience. Maybe in time we'll have another "lib genius." |

He wasnt asking to do it himself and didnt get "shot down" for that, he was asking for someone else to do it and pretty much all of the major LIBs already HAVE done it. He has my full encouragement if he wants to do it himself, he might even stumble across something. |

Amen to that Kap... If anyone wants to try something on their own, then go for it... But PLEASE examine the available libs in the FARC archives, read the tips and posts for items already existing, worked on, and solved, before you start to offer up 'brand new ideas'... Odds are its already been tried and already exsits in available libraries... CAG out... |
