I've read that people are missing or have one and/or two of their CDs for the game ruined and are looking for them.

Well somebody answered your prayers.

***TORRENT LINK DELETED BY UWOWRESTLER***

All you do is download whatever CD you're missing and then copy it to a CD and you're set.

Cheers

This is a major copyright violation...

Even listing it places this forum at risk...

You should delete this string or edit the post to remove the link...

The funniest thing, being that Janes was the copyright propieter, and when EA bought out Janes Combat Simulations, only new and recent titles had the transfers made and the copyrights extended. While technically legal and EA really do let alot of stuff slide (mainly out of pure laziness) I agree with CAG that it doesn't have any place here.

CAG, I can teach you how to admin yourself via the database so you can remove these things if you wish?

I apologize for posting this. Just thought that someone may have been interested. I purchased the game legally.

Anyway, feel free to delete the post

Apologies again

I am not the admin here, Zephyr is...

I have no desire to remove anything from Zephyr's forums...

I believe that this link above could cause real problems, as I have dealt with EA in the past and they do not appreciate such copyright circumvention...

And you are wrong on your copyright statements above...

Electronic Arts owns all rights to Fighters Anthoogy. They (EA) created the simulation, not Janes. They also own USNFs and ATF , the predecessors of FA...

This original family of simulations goes all the way back to Chuck Yeager's AIr Combat from the 1980s, all owned by Electronic Arts...

They (EA) leased the Jane's name from Jane's Defense, but they solely own the 'Jane's Combat Simulations' name ...

Also Copyrights do not 'get extended', they never expire...

These rights are protected throughout time, unless waived, and EA has not waived anything...

FA Futures is the biggest violation of a EULA so far yet they let it slide. While I don't advocate such things as downloading a game, Futures is an example of things I won't go into.

There we go. Link deleted. Hopefully not too much damage done. Sorry guys. I was just trying to be helpful to the people who legitimately purchased the game and were having issues with damaged discs. I guess it wasn't that well thought out in the end.

I do believe that EA still holds the copyrights to the Jane's Simulations Series. Historically, they are not ones to let their software drift into the realm of abandonware.

Anyway, i won't send the link to anyone. It wasn't me who seeded it. I'm not really into that thing.

Once again, sorry for stirring the pot in the wrong direction.

You know nothing at all about what you are typing here...

I find its best to not post statements when you dont have an iota of knowledge about it...

It makes you look like a bigger idiot then you actually are, as hard as that is to believe...

FA Futures violates nothing...

For FA Futures to work, the user must already have a licensed copy of FA installed on his system. Thus FA Futures does nothing more then modify the exisiting installation, it doesnt replace it. It does not function as a stand alone simulation. It functions as a modification, just as any other library set does. EA approved third party modifications to this family of simulations over 10 years ago.

For you to post what you did, especially when you have no understanding of what FA Futures currently is, coupled with the obvious lack of understanding of what EA has already approved in regards to end user modifications to the FA simultation, shows you to be, well, an idiot...

Next time, dont waste my time with posts about FA Futures, since you have no working knowledge of, or experience with, the project...

Now THAT was a great sim! What fond memories this brings back. I loved going against B-17 formations in an ME-109! I'd usually get shot all to hell, but it was awesome! And MiG-21 vs. F-4 duels were great fun too! Classic! :D The graphics were horrible by todays standards, but they were good enough for the day, and the game ran smoothly on my little 66Mhz PC.

And what about Domark's AV-8B Harrier Assault? Different company, but still an awesome game. The SAMs and Indonesian fighters were the scariest part. The graphics were pretty decent for the time, and not bad even today, although the gameplay was a little weird, what with being able to take multiple roles and all.

Well, I figured since somebody else was talking about fond memories of an old sim...

But Yeager's Air Combat was at least made by EA, so that post was more on the topic than mine was. I see your point. Sorry bout that. :)

Chuck Yeager's Aircombat ----> USNF ----> ATF ---> USNF 97 ---> ATF Gold ---> Fighters Anthology...

Chuck Yeager's Aircombat IS FA, unfortunately FA has less options and at the same time more options, and definately better graphics, but the sims are from the same family...
