what exactly does the All aspect indicator and Look down indicator do?

All aspect does the same thing for radars as it does for missiles. A higher number (on a scale of 0-99) will reduce the radar's detection range of an aircraft which is facing toward your aircraft, much like a higher number for missiles reduces their ability to lock on an aircraft facing your aircraft.

This is unrealistic as real radars usually have the opposite characteristic, that is better performance against aircraft frontal sections. For IR seekers it works well in FA.
