Hi All:

Over the past day I've posted a number of new and updated resources for Fighters Anthology at my FA home page:

https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/fa/index.html

1. GT-ELH ver. 2

An updated version of my LIB set. See the ReadMe for details on what's changed:
https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/fa ... ReadMe.txt

Download:
https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/fa/GT-ELH.zip

2. NAM-ELH

Basically a sub-set of GT-ELH w/ a focus on aircraft & weapons used in the Vietnam War. See the ReadMe for more details:
https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/fa ... ReadMe.txt

Download:
https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/fa/NAM-ELH.zip

3. NAM-MAPS

A set of custom 'Nam maps that replace the default FA North Vietnam map. These were inspired by the custom 'Nam map found in Jim Garwood's excellent NamStuff LIB. Features of these new maps include:

- New NV air bases, including Phuc Yen, Gia Lam, Kep, and Hoa Loc.
- New USAF air bases, including Da Nang (NVN1-MAP.LIB only) and one in Thailand. In NVN0-MAP.LIB the Thailand base is Nakhon Phanom; in NVN1-MAP.LIB the base is Ubon.
- Many new targets including industrial plants and expanded port facilities.
- Hardened bridges in roughly historically accurate locations, including...
* the Bac Giang Bridge
* the Hai Duong Bridge
* the Paul Doumer Bridge (multiple spans)
* the Thanh Hoa Bridge (Ham Rung, the Dragon's Jaw)
* the Co Trai (Phu Ly) bridge
- KC-135s in roughly historically accurate refueling orbits.
- An EC-121 Warning Star in orbit over Laos to provide AWACS radar coverage for the Hanoi/Haiphong area.
- Two U.S. carriers on Yankee Station (the Constellation & Oriskany).
- National borders indicated on the mission map.
- U.S. Route Pack borders indicated on the mission map.
- Other significant geographical areas & objects indicated, including
* Yankee Station & Dixie Station
* Cities of historical interest/importance

See the ReadMe for more details:

Download:

4. SKINS-ELH

A set of custom textures/shapes for 8 FA aircraft. None is wholly original -- all are variations on existing shpaes/textures done by others, but I thought someone might find these enhanced and tweaked versions useful. As usual, the ReadMe has more info:

https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/fa ... ReadMe.txt

Download:
https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/fa/Skins-ELH.zip

Questions or comments on any of these new offerings are most welcome.

Best,

Eric L. Howes

Hi All:

I've updated my various NAM-related LIBs. The NAM-Maps pack in particular has undergone major changes:

* overhauled the air bases to make their names and locations more accurate;
* added the Canal des Rapides bridge NE of Hanoi
* relocated a few SAMs and AAA units from the extreme NE to the Hanoi-Haiphong area
* replaced all the "town block" (TWN*.OT) scenery items with "large city" (CITY2.OT)
items to better depict cities like Hanoi, Hai Duong, Haiphong, Cam Pha, Hong Gai,
Thanh Hoa, and Nam Dinh
* made additons and changes to the major cities listed on the map

My NAM-ELH LIB set has also been updated. The most significant changes include the addition of several new aircraft, including:

- A-6B Intruder (Wild Weasel)
- A-6C Intruder TRIM
- C-123 Provider
- F-4D Phantom II Block 28 (A2A)
- F-8C Crusader
- RC-135 (AIR)

The above LIBs (along with an updated version of my GT_ELH LIB set) can be downloaded from my FA home page:

Best,
