Post subject:  Problems with FA and Windows vista

Hi everybody

yestarday I started to use a Windows vista on my new PC, I installed FA, but a I can't patch the game to version 1.02. When a run the patch file, it can't find the directory system:

Old file not found. however a flie of the same name was found. No update done since the flie contents do not match


What can I do??

Try moving the patch file to your FA directory, and running it from there.

Zephyr you ought to sticky this, as I didnt know you could run it from the FA Folder and make a difference...

Nope, more like a user error on your part since FA on Vista works fine for me. Single player is perfect. Multiplayer is a challenge, buit still doable...

Try installing FA in an XP system (if you have one) and then patching it, then copying it to a CD and copying it onto your Vista system

Should work fine then...

Also are you running it in compatibility mode? (Does Vista have such a thing?)

hi all, long time no see. Anyway i can run FA in vista with no problems, i don't use compatibility mode, that makes it worst. make sure you install FA in same disk vista is installed. that's all honestly it should work.
