Hi, I installed FA and got through all the menus but when I go to start the mission my screen goes black and kicks back to my desktop. I downloaded the no cd file [yes the cd was out] and got the same results. used to play this game all the time on much older systems and I'm an average joe when it comes to the technical side of things. My system xp srvc pack3 home ed. asus pk5/epu 2.41 ghz 2.0 ram vid card ge force 8400 gs w/512mb mem. runs directx9 any help? Thanks |

Try putting your desktop resolution into the same resolution that you fly at in FA: 640x480, 800x600, or 1024x768. Then run the game and try flying a mission. |

yeah I tried that it didnt work. my guess is that there was corrupted info somewhere because the disk did have some scratches on it. time to go visit ebay...thanks for the time |

Yes you have a corrupted install. You need new disks and foget about using the NOCD until you get a regular install working... |
