Is there a more advanced Eurofighter Shape from ATF or NATO Fighters 97? Need the shape and the skin file to do some testing comparing it to the FA shape and skin...

I have the old ATF E20 shape, but I need a more modern shape that the FA shape was based upon...

Does it exist?

AFAIK there were only two Eurofighter shapes in the series:

The tan/green shape from ATF

NATO fighters made the aircraft a focus flyable aircraft with the gray shape used in FA.
(ATF 1.14 had made it flyable already)

Are those shapes different from the FA files? I don't have access to NATO Fighters at the moment, but could probably get the files from that in a few weeks.

Many shapes were altered when moved from the other sims into FA. Its one of the reasons why the main shape fails in the color editor but the crashed shapes dont. The crashed shape wasnt altered...

There is no guarantee this is the case on the e20 shape, but its crashed shape works while its main shape does not, so I am hopeful...

EDIT: I will need the skin files as well. Sorry I didnt ask for them upfront!

Actually, I believe the shapes you uploaded were from Centurian's repository, so I would guess they were from FA. The ones I have now uploaded I have extracted from ATF Gold. All of the shapes and skins you uploaded have been on my files page at:

I'll put a thanks to you in the credits When Centurian's site went down I thought they were lost.

BTW if you're looking for more shapes and skins to use or use as a base, anything in my libs is fair game.

Well I am very sad to say that this is one of the very few shapes from ATF Gold that has not been altered to work in FA...

I was hoping it would have changes that would enable it to be viewed in the shape color editor like the crashed shape can, but unfortunately this isnt the case...

This means it is going to be slow work modifiying this shape to fix issues like missing skin sections on the lower wing surfaces and the same skin used on the top and bottom of the flaps...

Would there be a difference between the ATFG shape and the NATO Fighters shape? ATFG was the port from DOS to Windows, and was very similar to FA. I might be able to get the NATO files next week.

thanks zephyr, i was more concerned with the files than my credit lol. i lost my FA files due ot format last year and i couldn't find these shapes anywhere.

CAG, the NATO Fighters Eurofighter 2000 shapes and textures are located here:

Its definately a different shape. Its larger (37K vs 32.5K). Unfortunately its not much more stable in the color editor then the default shape, and it has some other problems as well... Its unstable when viewed closely during the game, kind of like the MiG-29 and SU-35B shapes are, causing CTDs...

And that got me to thinking...

Are there advanced MiG-29 and Su35B shapes in ATF Gold you could send me? Maybe the problems we are having with the Mig and Sukhoi are becasue those shapes were ported over from NATO and they have the same instability problems?
