FA does support transparencies... When flying over my latest bridge shapes I realized that the shadow used for the bridge spans in FA is transparent. The same with aircraft shadows... The shadown shape in FA is transparent to a degree because it allows the ground testures to be seen through it, in a darker shaded pattern... If I could harness this I could use it to make much better cockpit canopies and a much more realeastic black smoke... See the shadow under the bridge in the screenshots below... |

Dark translucent smoke would be a big improvement. Also, the snow on the bridge surface is a nice touch. |

Funny, my night sky does not look like that!... My FA moon is different... Can you send me the changes you made in the AAA to show at night? I have not begun to work on the night stuff yet, as that is the followon library to FAF Korea Day that I am working on now... BTW where in this string did you tell me about this stuff? Or did you post this in the wrong string? |

Are the changes to the AAA increasing the visibility range? First line after the availability date in the JT file. |

What about making the tracer shape and/or texture the "night time light" color from the palette? I forget the exact palette number. |

so sorry about being late on the response cag. i was and still am really busy with a project. i havent had proper sleep for a week. to answer your first question; i made the tracers more visible by (as zephyr said) increasing the visibilty range to 438. thats under the availability date (simple was the hint) also i don't remember when i told you about this AAA i was working on... i cant find the thread, but im pretty sure i did talk about it or even ask you how to do it so that it will look like jane's f-15. as for my tracer and moon textures, they are stock / vanilla FA textures. didn't modify them. i am not sure why my tracers are brighter than yours or as to why my moon is different. i always thought that the only good textures in FA is the moon, city lights, tracers and the vietnam map i can send you my vanilla moon and tracers if you want. btw if you have any urgent requests you can always email me at: jerico_ali@yahoo.com i will still be busy for another week. btw i have a cool video of this night AAA fire video which im getting my friend to upload. ill link it as soon as its up. |

ok i have the video uploaded but i have to warn you..this video does not do FA justice the contrast is way to high for some reason even in high quality encoding. also i think the reason my tracers are brighter is because of my digital vibrance effects from my NVIDIA graphics card. if you have an nvidia GPU you can enable digital vibrance. i think mine is at 15%. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilp2Lmwp1eQ |
