Due to the inept handling of the website and forum migrations i Have lost 2 months of work on FAF Korea...

I just today (Oct 20th) got the Zephyrnet forums back up and running and I had to do it myself, as the host service just kept scrweing it up each time they tried.

So I worked on it whenever I could to try to figure out how to import the databases correctly and frankly I was totally lost until Zephyr emailed me a link on forum migration. The information at the site was not correct for how our forums were setup, but close enough for me to finally figure it out...

Hopefully I will be able to get the vnfawing.com site and forums back up tomorrow...

It all depends on whether I can figure out how to import large database files over the 50MB limit...

I will let everyone know when the site is active again as that will be the date that I can start editing FAF Korea again to finally get it released...

CAG out...

It's great to have the forum back, if I can assist with getting the VNFAWing forums imported, just let me know.

Do you know how to import databases larger than 50MBs? The Database is actually already FTP'd to the site, but I dont understand yet how to move it into the database server to get it recognized...

Have you heard of this script:

http://www.ozerov.de/bigdump.php

Quote:
YOU WANT

To restore the very large backup of your mySQL database (or a part of it) into the new or the same mySQL database. You can't access the server shell and you can't import the dump using phpMyAdmin or any other scripts due to hard memory resp. runtime limit of the web server.

I'm not sure if this is the right thing you need?

Also, Here's two discussions on what I think are similar situations:

http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=536002

If you have shell access, see the second to last post.

And:

Someone also mentions shell access, and someone mentions a graphical SQL interface program with 30 day trial:
