Yeah, the information I'm looking for is pretty in-depth. Fang would list what aircraft to use, what weapons to use for each mission, and then give a strategy for beating them. He also explained how to get promoted and how to get medals.

Hopefully Zephyr has the information I need.

IR Cheat
If you have got an AWAC's download the info then turn your IR on. You can see everything just as well but emitting no emissions. Just before you fire a radar missile turn the radar on and nail that wing of aircraft.

Dogfighting
1.The first thing that I normally do is turn the time compression down to 1/2 as it makes it easier to track and fire on the enemies.
2.Stay within 20 kts of corner speed if possible, but if you can't turn and burn with him then try to do a split-s or immelman to get away from him then remount you attack.
3.Flare/Chaff missiles away quickly as you will be able to concentrate on firing.
4.If you hear cannon shells VERY close to you hit the rudder and try to pull about 9g. Then shoot the plane to shit.
5.Get that CCIP on the target and fire and keep on firing until you destroy it.
6.If you are surprising a plane don't fire anything until about .3nm away. If you fire at a longer distance he will be aware that you're there and might be able to jink and attack you.
7.Tell your wingman to protect you (Alt and P)
8.If your plane has thrust vectoring use it.

General Ground Attack
1.Try to come in very low and fast so AAA/SAM can't track you until the last minute when you pull up to about 1000ft and fire.
2.After this head straight for about 5nm then come in again using same tactics.
3.Repeat this until the targets are destroyed.
4.If AAA/SAM are very heavy take these out first then gun the targets.
5.If a few fighters jump you tell wingman to take 'em out - if there is many tell him to protect you then nail them

Stealthy Missions
1.As above but don't turn to sharp or with much bank and ignore all planes until they attack you then get even lower to about 50ft AGL
2.Only open your bays when you fire and shut them immediately after.
3.Try to destroy the targets on one pass - so not having to make return passes.

Long Range Air-Air
1.Don't waste Aim54's on rubbish like Mig-21's and Su-7's etc.
2.Use 'em on the Su-27 series, Mig-29m,Mig-31,and Rafale etc.
3.Wait until 60% for Aim54's and above 70% for every thing else.
4.Get above Mach 1 or in an F-22 or X-31 Mach 2.
5.Use IR as much as possible and download info from AWAC's.
6. Increase height to about 40,000ft.

Ship Attack
1.As for General ground attack but use Harpoons.
2.Find out how many missile hits the ships take so you can plan ahead of a mission.
3.Use a plane like F-22 or Rafale which has either high speed and stealth or high weapons capabilty.

AAA/SAM attack
1.If there is mostly SAM's come in very low as they can't track you and use cannons on them.
2.If it is mostly AAA come in at about 10,000ft then dive on them continually making jinking manoeuvers.
3.If planes attack you when you're mud moving tell wingman to protect you or attack them and shoot them apart and go back to mud moving.

Su-35 Super Flankers
Shoot the bastard as quick as possible as he is one mean son of a bitch.
1.If you see them at long range turn off the radar and turn on the IR while using the AWAC's
2.Tell your wingman to protect you
3.Hit the burners
4.Change to your longest range weapons
5.Be as stealthy as possible
6.Dive to about 50ft or climb to about 65,000ft so his missiles can't track you very often
7.Pray he doesn't see you
8.Pray some more
9.When your weapon hit chance is above 80% fire 2 of them.
10.Just before his missiles hit you jink like hell and hit chaff or flares
11.If he lives after the first pass be very wary and be ready to hit flares. (remember those trick missiles and thrust vectoring)
12.Stay at turn rate and use vectoring if applicable. (90 degrees on the X-32 + Ctrl and arrow keys)
13.If ya see him shoot and keep on shooting until he blows up or ejects.
14.Otherwise as for Dogfighting and Long range Air-Air

Once you've got a target hit F8 to see how many there are and so on by panning around and zooming in and out.

Use this all the time as you can see how skillful he is, what he's doing and what he is. It helps just so much.

Using Enemy Decoy Drones to your advantage
Note that what aircraft they display themselves as that is the closest type of enmy aircraft to them. E.G. If they say that they are Su-34's, Su-34's are the closest enemy aircraft to them. This helps heaps as you can find out what that aircraft is just beyong your TWS range. Or you can find out that aircraft are in the ground nearby.

N.B. These missions will be done as I finish them. Also all of the tactics work for me - if you can't fly the missions maybe they're too hard. Go back training. I have tried not to use one plane often in a row in case of damage except in Vietnam where there is only one good plane, and that's easy anyway. If you find some information is incorrect please E-Mail me or forever hold your peace. Also at the start of every mission attempt to download AWAC's info as it does help heaps.

Some will question why I use so much external fuel but if you are in a dogfight and can't outmaneuver a plane unload external fuel and turn 'n' burn. Also F-4J really do use tons of fuel up

Screw the waypoints and head straight in on full burners the whole way. Drop all bombs then pull up quickly to about 50 degrees, keep the burners on and head back to the carrier. Several wings of Mig's will try intercept you.

I did as my Sparrow's missed and then it turned into an absolute furball with 8 planes flying around pumping lead out at 2000ft/sec.

Ahhh... finally the last mission in the Vietnam area. Get anything whatsoever that shoots at you, Destroy! Destroy! make the most of it.
Attack the 2 Mig-21's at 12 o'clock 25nm away first, then the next 2 groups of Mig-21's. (I think there is about 2 per group) After all this there are 3 Mig-17's sitting on Hanoi Airbase. Gun 'em till they blow apart, then shoot anything that attacks you. Catch the third wire and you've done your part for our country in this conflict.

What a long campaign. Don't use too many Phoenix's in the first easy missions because you will need them for the last missions.

Somewhere near 7 o'clock there are 9 Su-24's in 3 wing's as well as 3 Su-27's in another wing. Get your wingman on to the Su-27's while you go after the Su-24's. Fire a Aim-54 at each wing then another one at the first wing. Take the first wing out with Amraam's/Gun's then take the next out with what ever you've got left, then take the 3'rd out with everythnig left. If there are Su-27's left take them out then land.

I love this mission! Fire on the bridge, then party with all the Mig-21's, Mig-29's, Mig-31, Su-24's, Su-27's floating around aimlessly. Mig-21's and Mig-29's are total jokes, the Mig-31 can just be chaffed then fired on, then the groups of 3 Su-24's and 1 Su-27 don't even care if you come right up behind them and fire lead into them. I got 17 fighters, 6 bombers, 3 hangars, 3 Zsu-23's and a bridge.

Your plane is very inferior to Flankers and don't attempt to attack them straight on if possible. Go up to your ceiling and dive on them. Or use mountains to protect you. Only in a dogfight are you better than the Flankers. Use vectoring.

As you take off you will see some F-15J's attacking some Su-27's. A bit later on a Mig-29 takes off but is also destroyed by the F-15J's. Turn your ground radar on and fire on the first 2 docks. Stay above 8000ft as the AAA is heavy. Head off to the next docks. In my mission the 2 Ka-50's were destroyed by F-15J's, however past experiences have not been like this. When you get to the second docks use the same tactics, but get your wingman to get the one you didn't get. Sometimes you might get both as the collateral damage from my Harpoon almost destroyed both docks. Go home.

There are also 2 Choppers but they don't do shit all. I destroyed all these aircraft (15 kills) although one of my wingman damaged one before an Amos obliterated his aircraft. At the end I had 6 bullets left, no wingman and no other friendlies (apart from the task force).

Egypt
There are a lot of quite simple aircraft in most missions. However a F-16 or Rafale squadron can screw the missions up. Be careful on Chaff and keep your speed up.

This is one bloody hard campaign because of one thing - the Su-35. What a bitch. Most of the aircraft here you've meet before apart from the Mig-23 and they suck. Most do however cruise around in large packs (more than 4). On ground attack missions always be ready to change back to the air-air role.

Hit the burners, find the B-1b's and head straight at them. Locate the 3 Mig-29's heading towards them. Destroy the Mig's. Go to Postavy airbase and destroy the 2 Su-35's sitting there. Find the 2 Mig-31's coming from the north and destroy them. Then destroy the 3 Mig-29m's approaching the B-1b's. Go home.

Shit this is a hard mission!
Go straight to waypoint B and bomb the ZSU-23, ZSU-57 and SA-9. After this destroy the 2 Su-27's and 2 Mig-29M';s coming from the East. Follow up to the next waypoint and destroy the SA-9, ZSU-23, ZSU-23 and finally another SA-9 (in order of destruction). Roughly half way between the waypoints there is a massive dogfight (15+ fighters) about 15nm to the east. You might as well get a few kills so just ripple fire any weapons left then charge in guns blazing.

If either survive from a Harpoon hit take it out with a Mav. Heading to waypoint E destroy the Straight Flush with a Mav, to your left then later on destroy the C & C with a Harpoon. Go home. There is also a F-1 at Luxor Airbase but that was taken out by the Tomcat's.

I had 4 choppers, 8 SAM's, 48 tanks, 2 structures and 4 others killed and still had 738rds left in my gun.

Because this plane has neither speed or manueverability use low speed and low altitude. Stay below 250ft and continually turn. When a plane is very close to your six, hit the brakes, turn the engine off and pull up. Then push down. This will guarentee you get him as you were only flying at 200kts where as he was at 400kts+. This is how I bet 3 ace Su-35's guns only.

Keep at corner speed and have the throttle at 100%, keeping the nozzles at 40-60 degrees. Then use this maneuverability to outurn your opponent. Remember that you can't take much damage and if you get in a fight it is immpossible to get out of it as this is a sub sonic plane with no burners. The AMRAAM's allow you to weaken the fighters although not always destroy.

Force the knife fight, manuever and shoot all enemies to shit. Stay near corner speed, one warning, it takes very little damage to destroy so destroy most of the enemy fighters with AMRAAM's.

Pretty much the same as the F-16. Keep it at corner speed, force the knife fight and shoot 'em all to shit. The only thing is that it is less maneuverable, carries enough to destroy several squadrons and can take more of a beating.

My Tactic's A-A
Use stealth to approach and fire AMRAAM's at 100%. You can either hit them at 900kts +, get some seperation and turn back firing off more missiles. Or with thrust vectoring and corner speed outmaneuver everything. Or you can take it vertical and easily win, with liberal use of those big burners back there. Or force the knife fight and kick ass. Effectively this is among the top planes, Manueverability, Speed, Ammo capacity, Fuel capacity, 50 Chaff and 50 Flare, and it can take so much damage that even if you are a rotton pilot you should eventually win. And it can pull 7G - 9G from 800kts - 250kts.

Hey, I'm new to this message board. I just want to know if anybody has any "strategies" to beat campaign missions? I remember years ago I found a site that gave me tips and details in order to beat missions (as well as all the medals/promotions followed by HOW to get them) and I even remember the site belonged to a guy calling himself "Fang" Problem is, I can't find that website (I found the link but it leads nowhere) and I'd appreciate it if someone were to give me all those details like "Fang" used to put out.

Um... well... that's true... still, it can get frustrating when you have to repeat a mission ten times. I wouldn't have a problem turning on the cheats just to get through them, except you can't get medals/promotions if the cheats are on.

You can see everything just as well but emitting no emissions. Just before you fire a radar missile turn the radar on and nail that wing of aircraft. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dogfighting 1.The first thing that I normally do is turn the time compression down to 1/2 as it makes it easier to track and fire on the enemies. 2.Stay within 20 kts of corner speed if possible, but if you can't turn and burn with him then try to do a split-s or immelman to get away from him then remount you attack. 3.Flare/Chaff missiles away quickly as you will be able to concentrate on firing. 4.If you hear cannon shells VERY close to you hit the rudder and try to pull about 9g. Then shoot the plane to shit. 5.Get that CCIP on the target and fire and keep on firing until you destroy it. 6.If you are surprising a plane don't fire anything until about .3nm away. If you fire at a longer distance he will be aware that you're there and might be able to jink and attack you. 7.Tell your wingman to protect you (Alt and P) 8.If your plane has thrust vectoring use it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- General Ground Attack 1.Try to come in very low and fast so AAA/SAM can't track you until the last minute when you pull up to about 1000ft and fire. 2.After this head straight for about 5nm then come in again using same tactics. 3.Repeat this until the targets are destroyed. 4.If AAA/SAM are very heavy take these out first then gun the targets. 5.If a few fighters jump you tell wingman to take 'em out - if there is many tell him to protect you then nail them -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stealthy Missions 1.As above but don't turn to sharp or with much bank and ignore all planes until they attack you then get even lower to about 50ft AGL 2.Only open your bays when you fire and shut them immediately after. 3.Try to destroy the targets on one pass - so not having to make return passes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Long Range Air-Air 1.Don't waste Aim54's on rubbish like Mig-21's and Su-7's etc. 2.Use 'em on the Su-27 series, Mig-29m,Mig-31,and Rafale etc. 3.Wait until 60% for Aim54's and above 70% for every thing else. 4.Get above Mach 1 or in an F-22 or X-31 Mach 2. 5.Use IR as much as possible and download info from AWAC's. 6. Increase height to about 40,000ft. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ship Attack 1.As for General ground attack but use Harpoons. 2.Find out how many missile hits the ships take so you can plan ahead of a mission. 3.Use a plane like F-22 or Rafale which has either high speed and stealth or high weapons capabilty. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AAA/SAM attack 1.If there is mostly SAM's come in very low as they can't track you and use cannons on them. 2.If it is mostly AAA come in at about 10,000ft then dive on them continually making jinking manoeuvers. 3.If planes attack you when you're mud moving tell wingman to protect you or attack them and shoot them apart and go back to mud moving. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Su-35 Super Flankers Shoot the bastard as quick as possible as he is one mean son of a bitch. 1.If you see them at long range turn off the radar and turn on the IR while using the AWAC's 2.Tell your wingman to protect you 3.Hit the burners 4.Change to your longest range weapons 5.Be as stealthy as possible 6.Dive to about 50ft or climb to about 65,000ft so his missiles can't track you very often 7.Pray he doesn't see you 8.Pray some more 9.When your weapon hit chance is above 80% fire 2 of them. 10.Just before his missiles hit you jink like hell and hit chaff or flares 11.If he lives after the first pass be very wary and be ready to hit flares. (remember those trick missiles and thrust vectoring) 12.Stay at turn rate and use vectoring if applicable. (90 degrees on the X-32 + Ctrl and arrow keys) 13.If ya see him shoot and keep on shooting until he blows up or ejects. 14.Otherwise as for Dogfighting and Long range Air-Air -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using F8 key Once you've got a target hit F8 to see how many there are and so on by panning around and zooming in and out. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Shift-4 window Use this all the time as you can see how skillful he is, what he's doing and what he is. It helps just so much. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Enemy Decoy Drones to your advantage Note that what aircraft they display themselves as that is the closest type of enmy aircraft to them. E.G. If they say that they are Su-34's, Su-34's are the closest enemy aircraft to them. This helps heaps as you can find out what that aircraft is just beyong your TWS range.
