Do you remember this? ![]() ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3b19b5LShg This is an open CF of FA, a C-17 is covered by some X-31 in a wonderful terrain. Now we can see it in FA actually. ![]() ![]() But AI-palnes do not know how to avoid terrain... ![]() New BAL MAP Lib can be downloaded here. http://sourceforge.net/projects/fash/fi ... B/download |

However, I found if I let C-17 as wingleader, C-17 can do pretty good terrain following maneuver. ![]() |

Nice... yes the AI does a good job of climbing over the terrain (most of the time) but i wont then go back down to lower altitude unless you command it to do so with a waypoint after the mountians are cleared. BTW you never did answer my questions about the elevations... do they pop up and down on you as you approach or fly through them with such huge elevation changes? |

Yes, sometime, mountains will pop-up. but in the most of time, they can be seen far away. and I cannot fly through a mountain, that leads crash. It is worth noting that if you set up "No-crash" option, your plane will hang up on mountains. If you turn off engines, and low gears, the plane will slip with -30 knots. |
