Zephyr have you been able to build any shapes with the shape tool? Last time we talked about it you were building a new bird... How goes it? |

I haven't had much time to spend on shape editing, and what I did start work on, I kind of swung for the fences. Here are some examples: J-20, apparently nicknamed "Powerful Dragon" or "Ferocious Dragon": A crude start toward making an An-124 Condor: My attempt at turning an A-10 into the Tu-22: I used an A-10 to start with because it had podded engines in the right place. This was to prevent the main issue I run into: polygon fade through when moving an aircraft structure to a radically different location. Also the game crashd after taking that screenshot, so I need to fix some polygons on it. The flaps/gear/etc. on each aircraft still need to be modified as well. |

I like your choice on the J-20... The aircraft does resemble the MiG-31/25 from several views... So his tool doesnt allow for editing of the flaps and other animations? I am sticking to my old tried and true manual hex editing... |

The tool does allow editing all animations. I haven't gotten to modifying them on these shapes yet. |

The polygon locations can be moved, but I'm not sure how to change the animation axis point as you can see from this screenshot. The screen shot is mid gear movement and the nose gear is moving to its "gear lowered" position near the tip of the nose. But it seems to still rotate around the point where the old Mirage 5 shape's gear rotated, which is why it is hovering in space. Maybe there is a way to fix this, I haven't spent much time looking into this. The rest of the shape is also screwy because I am in the process of resizing it and have not moved the rudder and flaps, and shifted one of the main gear positions as well. Have you heard from Hawke lately? |

No he went AWOL 2 months ago... Doesnt answer any emails. I am not to sure what you mean by axis animation axis point... I can manually move gear to any location and not have problems with its function... |
