Hi... I recently found my old copy of FA, blew of the dust and installed it on my win 7 64 bit... right of the start there were problems of course... but with google i managed to get the game 99% working. updating to 1.02, and launching without Explorer and all that. The game now works, except for the Ukraine campaign, wich crashes the game with this error message "Could not set video mode 1"

while trying to google the problem/solution i found that i'm not the only one who's had this problem, but it seems there's only one solution available... disabling or removing all the video briefings... since i'm not exactly good with computers, and have never even seen the FA tool kit, and therefore wouldn't know what to do with it (on top of it actually not working on win 7) I was hoping someone on these forums might somehow help me out.

The Ukraine campaign is my favorite campaign, so I'd really like to get it working

Video mode 1 is the resolution the game runs at when displaying the in campaign video. That means your video card and/or monitor can not switch to that low of a resolution, because no one uses it anymore...

Unfortunately I have no campaign editing experience (its just about the only thing I have not worked on in FA) so I can not help you, but Zephyr should be able to solve your issue once he sees this string.

well thank you for at least looking at my thread lol... this is the most help i've gotten from anyone so far :)

i do have one more question though... In my game all the screens (RWR, TWS, System window and all that) i can only ever get 4 to show at anytime. One in each corner of the screen... but i've seen people with more, or all of the screens on.

how do i get that?

Go in the actual game, press ESC, click Pref, and uncheck "Large Windows?".

I have the same video problem but it hits during start-up before I can even get into the game and I haven't changed anything.

Hehehe, I can't think of a fix off the top of my head but I will try to find a fix for the issue.

I would be very grateful if you would :)

I do not need the video briefings. I just want to play the campaign... if you manage a fix that makes the briefings work then great, but it is not necessary :)

Try running the campaign with the following lib file in your Fighters Anthology directory:
