I have finished a new shape/skin/NT file for a new T-72, T-80, T-90 tank...
This tank has a fully revolving turret and a highly detailed skin. It will have 3 versions of the skin to represent the three different tanks mentioned above. Right now I have the basic T-80U skin completed with reactive armor only on the face plate (deck) of the hull. Now what is truly interesting about this tank vs the M1A2 tank I have already built is that the hull points south instead of north. This is important since to make the turret revolve you have to lock the hull shape in a northern direction like the M1A2, but I built this hull shape and skin with the hull reversed so that when it was locked into position it looks like it is pointing south. allowing it to look more realistic when in combat with US forces tanks on the Korean War map (north/south map) that point north. This was not an easy task as I not only had to reshape the hull to make it opposite, but then I had to change all the visibility angles of the tiles as well so they wouldn't disappear when viewed since they are all pointing opposite of what the original shape intended...
The tank has 1 14.55 mm Machingun on the turret roof (highly detailed), a coax 7.62 mm machinegun and a 125 mm main gun, along with a functional smoke grenade launcher. Here are a few screenshots...
