Since USNF 97 is on Fighters Anthology, I'm assuming that no one here uses/plays that game other than to mine certain files from it to use in FA.

I run my games on an old-school Pentium III rig to avoid the problems others are having on new systems running this game.

Part of the reason for creating my website was to have backup safe storage of my fighters anthology files.

I had that on the vnfawing.com website then the nitwit site providers deleted my files "by mistake" and wiped out everything I had there...

Does anyone have a patch that corrects the color problem when running on Win7?

Best Regards,
Pappy

Hi Pappy,

As far as I know, there isn't a patch that fixes the problem, but there is a work-around.

http://jkpeterson.net/fa/misc/FA_Win_7_ ... h_File.zip

This is a batch file which ends the Windows Explorer task before launching Fighters Anthology, and then allows the task to be restarted easily when FA is exited. I've been running FA perfectly on Win7 and Win10 using it. Hope that helps!

My apologies, Pappy! However, I think it's possible that if you replaced FA.exe with the USNF97 executable, and renamed the folder path to match your USNF folder, it ought to work using the same principles.

No problem!

Could you or some do that for me?
I am not computer literate on things like that.

I just love to fly simulators.

Best Regards,
Pappy

Alright, if you download the .bat file and edit it in Notepad, you should see this:

taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
cd F:\SteamLibrary\OtherGames\FightersAnthology
cmd.exe /C start /affinity 1 F:\SteamLibrary\OtherGames\FightersAnthology\FA.exe
pause
start explorer.exe
exit

Replace the second line with the path to your USNF folder
and do the same for the third line as well, replacing "FA.exe" with" USNF.exe" (or whatever it is for USNF 97)

so it should look something like this when finished:

taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
cd F:\SteamLibrary\OtherGames\USNF97
cmd.exe /C start /affinity 1 F:\SteamLibrary\OtherGames\USNF97\USNF.exe
pause
start explorer.exe
exit
