Cent, Zephyr has a patch that corrects the color problem.
It is on The FA Resource page.

Good Flying and Best Regards,
Pappy

Well this stinks. I uninstalled it when I was having the color issues. So now I've reinstalled it and attempted with and without the bat file and frankly nothing I do gets it to launch properly. It just goes to a black screen with the music in the background.

Cent.

Did you click on the batch file first?
I have FA on a Win.7 with the batch file and it works on my machine.

Anybody out there add anymore assistance?
It would be appreciated.

Best Regards,
Pappy

Oh yeah I've tried it every way to Sunday - no joy. I'm going to try VMWare Player next since Windows 7 XP Mode is worthless. How do you design a VM and not let it share USB devices like a joystick? Well that's MS for you.

I do not use the compatibility setting and just installed the batch file and FA.

Best Regards,

No worries - I don't know that I've ever had success with compatibility mode on Windows.

On the plus side, VMWare Player works so yes, yes I can actually play without a new system and with joystick support. I might be messing around with the game. I can neither confirm nor deny.

Right now I'm just futzing around with some things. I am trying to go back and scour the board for info on what this stuff all means. I used to know it like the back of my hand but years upon years have passed. I'm trying to remember now what speed settings are for missiles. I think they were FPS.
